Dua Lipa was born August 22, 1995, in London with Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. Her ancestors can also be identified back to the Kosovo town of Peja. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She is the sister of Rina Lipa, and has one younger brother, named Gjin. Her musical inspirations come from her father, who is the singer-guitarist of the Kosovan the rock group Oda.
